HMCS PRESERVER

Served primarily as a Fairmile base supply during WW2 and was based at various Newfoundland ports.

Built by Marine Industries Ltd. , Sorel, Quebec,  for $756,470.

Commissioned  December 1, 1942. Length: 78.0 m, Beam: 13.1 m, Speed: 9 knots.

Eng. :  2 Fairbanks Morse 1150 H.P.

Sold January 4, 1946 for $275,000 by WAC to Marine Industries, Sorel, Quebec.

Resold  in 1946 for $350,000 by MIL to Peruvian Navy  and renamed Mariscal Castilla then Cabo Blanco.

Scrapped in 1961.
