Career:
In 1945 , retained and transferred to RCMP. Served in the RCMP until 1958 as a patrol vessel renamed Fort Pitt.
Sold in 1958 for $7,500 by WAC to James Carrell Slater (Provincial Land Surveyor), Kingston, Nova Scotia and renamed Sondra II (after his daughter) (# 193893).
Registered as a yacht in LaHave, Nova Scotia on april 15, 1958. Engs. : 2 Vivian oil engines, 550 HP.
Sold January 1978 to Susan Marlaine Craig (School Teacher) , Belleville , Ontario.
During the year 1978, Susan Craig and David Keller worked on Sondra II, ripping out bunks, rebuilding and refinishing the whole interior down to the unpainted mahogany and sailed her to the Caribbean. In june 1981, Suzan Craig transferred the ownership to David R. Keller.
On the night of September 21, 1989, during Hurricane Hugo, unattended Sondra II dragged anchor, hit rocks and sunk off the main pier in Fredericksted, St. Croix, Virgin Islands.
October 18, 2004, suspended from registry (Transport Canada).
