Career:

Q106 was paid off in September 1945 and was sailed to Quebec to be destored there.

On arrival she was retained as well as a few others, sailed to Halifax and was paid off into reserve on February 26, 1946.

May 1947: Recommissioned at Halifax to the Montreal Naval Division, HMCS DONNACONA, to serve as a training vessel.

July 28, 1948: Attached to the reserve division, HMCS STAR at Hamilton, Ontario.

July 1949:  Suffered from a severe fire  and obliged her to undergo costly repairs.

After September 1949 was known as PTC 706. In 1954 , renamed Beaver.

May 1956: Comissioned as tender to HMCS YORK at Toronto. Ontario.

November 13, 1957: Was declared surplus.

Sold in 1957 for $6,501 by WAC to Hamilton Harbour Commissionners, Hamilton, Ont.(Crown Assets Report 1957-58).

1961: In ruins at Hamilton and demolished.
