Career:

Sold October 2, 1945 for $3,000 by WAC to Hamiltair Ltd., Vancouver and Princess Louisa Inlet,  B.C.

Hamiltair Ltd. acquired a total of 7 Fairmiles for $21,000 (Q122, 123, 125, 126, 127, 128 and 129). The owner , Tom Hamilton intended to used the Fairmiles fleet  (after conversion and refurbishing) to handle guests at his resort “Malibu Club” in Princesss Louisa Inlet.

First registered: January 22, 1946  and renamed Chief Malibu (#176483).

Eng.:  2  Sterling Admiral 12 cylinders  petrol engines, 1800 H.P.

When Hamilton’s Malibu Club was abandonned, the Chief Malibu was left tied to the dock with all of the hatches open and sunk in 1952 at the bottom of Princess Louisa Inlet, below Young Life’s Malibu inner-dock.

August 11, 1952: register closed and certificate cancelled, vessel sunk.
